In the earlier parts of this series (see above), we looked at the Drama Cycle and the various aspects in depth.
Remember it is our choice to step out of the Drama Cycle. We are the only ones that can make that choice, no-one can do it for us. The key to remember is you always have the power to CHOOSE YOUR RESPONSE!
We can choose to jump out of the triangle into authenticity, to connect with soul, love, and trust, knowing that everyone has all the resources they need at every moment. We can choose to transcend the ego and live from the heart and soul!
Steps to Breaking the Cycle include:
Simply becoming aware of and understanding these patterns are good first steps. Read the articles in this series thoroughly and be honest with yourself. You might even like to chat about it with a friend to get an outside perspective (sometimes our ego likes to deny the truth and has a distorted perspective!!) Once we are aware of our patterns we can choose to help ourselves to change, to break free and to step off the triangle. Know that no matter how embedded you are in the drama, you always have the power to change it!
2. Become the Observer & take Responsibility
Once you can notice these behaviours and what causes them in yourself or others, you instantly leap outside the drama cycle to the role of Observer. The Observer is completely present, they are not affected by any of the other roles, because the Observer can see the drama for what it is; a never ending cycle of emotional pain and people not living out their potential. By acknowledging that you have had a part in creating the situation as it is, no matter how difficult that might be, then you regain your power to change it.

A simple, easy formula for becoming the Observer is:
- STOP, take a few very slow deep breaths, disengage from any trauma/drama, become still and then ask yourself:
- What am I feeling right now?
- Where in my body am I feeling it? Take a moment and really feel all of your feelings without judgement.
- In this moment, what is the single most important thing I can do to take care of myself? What is it that I truly want, need or desire?
3. Cut cords of attachment
If you are caught up in the Drama Cycle, there are most likely energetic cords of attachment into the other people, particularly from the lower chakras (Base, Sacral and Solar Plexus). Ask Archangel Michael to come in and dissolve these cords when you will be spending time ‘in drama’ . Fill the chakras with the appropriate colours. (Red, orange, yellow etc.)
You will need to do this on a regular basis until you have some deeper healing work getting to the underlying themes.
When we get stuck in dynamics we have a certain way of seeing things that has developed from our life experiences and can be very difficult to change. Each of these roles has an investment in staying caught up in it! A good therapist will focus you on the things that you are not as willing to look at by yourself and support you to face your issues. They will help you identify what is triggering the underlying guilt or fear. As mentioned above, many of these issues stem from childhood and past lives and involve important SOUL LESSONS.
Most often you will need energy healing as it is important to not only have the mental understanding of the dynamics but to also heal the trapped negative energies in your field to truly help free you.
Many souls at this time on Earth, have come to heal not only their personal issues but have also come to heal patterns that have come through their bloodlines. Rebecca is able to identify and heal these patterns in the DNA, so you not only help yourself but the many ancestors that have come before you. It is very empowering and liberating!!

5. Love & Gratitude
Eventually, most people realise that they can never change or control anyone, except themselves. Attempting to manipulate, change, control or to force others to love you is insanity! It never ever works! When we see our life from a soul perspective, we are grateful for these opportunities to learn and grow and for the amazing souls who have played these parts in our evolution. What are the positive things in life that I am grateful for? Make a list every day! Let love & gratitude rule!!
David Emerald and team are doing great work with the Drama Cycle and they talk about the roles of the drama cycle turning into the Creator, Coach and Challenger. Click here to go to their website. There is lots of wonderful wisdom there!
I also love this book “The Power of Humility” which also describes the evolution of the triangle and helps you to ‘choose peace over conflict in relationships’.
